Technical project manager (Electrical engineer)

Job description
  • Taking responsibility for electrical system design including grid connection requirements, liaising with other project activities
  • Providing technical assistance during project development and ensuring the factors influencing and influenced by the grid connection are considered
  • Supporting electrical design and development of renewable energy projects, including system layouts, component selection, and technical specifications
  • Ensuring that all electrical design and installations comply with local, national, and international codes and standards relevant to renewable energy
  • Maintaining relationships with HV/MV contractors to drive performance and ensure they deliver their services to all applicable standards
  • Reviewing single line diagrams to ensure optimal system design and compliance with Grid Connection conditions
  • Coordinating and managing technical grid application process with grid operators to secure necessary approvals and connections
  • Conducting analysis of renewable energy systems and developing CAPEX models for financial modelling purposes
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary project teams and external suppliers and contractors, to ensure seamless coordination and timely project delivery
  • Managing supplier selection process, from request for proposal to contract signing, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and innovative renewable energy solutions, such as battery storage and smart energy management, to enhance project sustainability
Requirements
  • Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering (Industrial or Electrical) or equivalent level of education
  • At least 4 - 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally with some experience in renewable energy sector
  • Experience in transmission network/distribution network transformer stations
  • Experience in design/testing/planning/maintenance activities of transformer stations and other power plants
  • Strong coordinating skills and are able of successfully managing all parties involved
  • IT literacy knowledge – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Communication, strong people skills and initiative
