Job description

• Develop and maintain the core background check platform using PHP and MySQL, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability
• Participate in greenfield projects focused on building new features and services to support and modernize the legacy system, leveraging AWS technologies for microservices and serverless architectures
• Implement AI-powered solutions leveraging OpenAI to enhance system capabilities, including intelligent automation and code improvements
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with comprehensive unit test coverage
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, product owners, developers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, suggesting innovative approaches to improve products and processes
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation (approximately one week per month), with readiness to address critical issues outside of regular hours if needed
• Document software design, implementation details, and development workflows to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance
• Work within Agile frameworks, utilizing tools like Jira to track progress and manage tasks effectively

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in web application development, with a strong focus on backend development
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in PHP programming
• At least 2 years of experience in backend development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side logic
• Minimum 1 year of exposure to frontend development, preferably with technologies like JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with asynchronous PHP frameworks such as Phalcon or Symfony
• Expertise in backend programming, including REST API development and MySQL or other relational databases
• Familiarity with Git-based version control systems
• Comfortable working within Agile/Scrum teams and processes
• Good communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively
