Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Quarkus-based backend applications on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Lead software design, microservice architecture, data modelling, and integration with interface partners
• Implement test automation strategies, ensure adherence to best practices, and optimize performance
• Utilize AWS cloud services, logging/monitoring/alerting tools, and CI/CD pipelines effectively
• Provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and foster a collaborative work environment
• Communicate efficiently with stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and address customer needs promptly

Requirements 

• Proficient in Quarkus (Java 11/17) for backend development and AWS for deployment
• Strong in software design, microservices, REST-APIs, and OIDC Authentication
• AWS Certified Developer/Solution Architect with hands-on experience in AWS cloud technologies
• DevOps-oriented with CI/CD pipeline expertise and effective communication skills
• Familiar with AWS services like EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Step Functions, Glue, Athena, EMR, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, Eventbridge, MSK, EC2, Kinesis, Firehose, etc., and Quarkus-related technologies
• Proficient in testing frameworks (Mockito, RestAssured), database migration (Flyway), and logging/monitoring tools (Micrometer)
• Experience with JAX-RS, OpenAPI, Swagger for REST-APIs, and AWS SDK for interacting with SQS, S3, Athena, Lambda
• Familiarity with Panache (and even native JDBC), Docker, Devservices, LocalStack, and OIDC
• Knowledge of Microfront-Ends using Module Federation or Web components, and nginx on EKS
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, kustomize, Maven, SonarQube, and Terraform
• Understanding of ITSM practices for effective IT service management
• ANTLR proficiency is advantageous
• Willing to travel monthly
